Hi All,
This is advance notice that we are trying to arrange for some Cottenham players to visit us for a few games on Saturday, in lieu of the EC Inters cup game that is now postponed.
We are awaiting confirmation of what ages will be coming, but as the Cottenham under 11s team are playing on that day, we have to say that no players who are just on the under 11s team will be able to play.

Temporary Change to the Wednesday Training Times

As of January 2010, the Wednesday session is now only an hour from 7pm to 8pm at Soham until 24th March inclusive

Tournaments postponed

Apologies for the postponement of the tournaments around early January but I'm sure everyone understands the travel difficulties due to the weather. The following revised dates are now on the calendar:

Trophy cabinet at Soham and a few other things

Tags:

If you get a chance, take a look at our trophy cabinet at Ross Peers, Soham. Brian's doing a great job collecting pictures, press cuttings and of course trophies and arranging them in the cabinet. Nice one, Brian it's looking really good!

You may or may not know but Brian's match reports (top right block) are published in the Ely Standard and the Newmarket/Soham Journal.

Some of you may have seen the new Ely Roller Hockey leaflet on your travels. You can now download a copy from this site in pdf format. Go to the downloads page and you'll find it there.

Cafe to re-open at Ross Peers Sports Centre, Soham

Tags:

We have been informed that Ross Peers Sports Centre, Soham is to re-open their cafe during Roller Hockey tournaments that are held there. There is to be a more extensive range of food than previously.

Unfortunately this does mean that only food purchased on the premises is allowed to be consumed. Any persons bringing their own food will have to consume it outside.

Tesco's gearWe have some terrific new kit from the Tesco's Schools and Clubs voucher scheme. We've now got:...

  • 60 new multi-coloured hockey balls (fantastic colours)
  • 6 stopwatches
  • 2 clipboards
  • an air horn
  • pair of Captains arm-bands
    how cool is that????

Well done and thank you to all those who saved the vouchers and allowed ERHC to make use of them.

New website for Ely Roller Hockey

Tags:

Welcome to the new Ely RHC website. I hope you enjoy using it.

The aim is to make much more interactive use of the site. For example, I've added a news section (you know that because you are here :) and also a match report section. We used to have match reports on the old site but with this new site the contributors will be able to add the match report straight onto the site, maybe even directly from the game!

Readers of the sections can then submit comments to either of these sections if they want.
