Under 13s continue their good start.

The under 13s played their home tournament at the Ross Piers and were looking to follow up a good start to the season in their last tournament when they won three out of four games.

The first match against a strong Herne Bay United (HBU) side was a very tight affair. Ely took the lead early on thanks to Heather Dunand but HBU scored two goals in the middle of the first half to go ahead 2:1. Dunand however scored a further two goals before half time making the score 3:2 to Ely. HBU came out strong in the 2nd half and levelled after three minutes. A minute later Ryan Jackson scored for Ely to restore the lead. A further minute after that HBU again equalised and the game stayed that way for a large part of the half. HBU attacked strongly during this period and Molly Williams in the Ely goal pulled off many fine saves to keep the scores level. Ely finally broke through with four minutes with Dunand scoring again, she also got her 5th to give Ely the win.

The next game was against am inexperienced and young Plymouth side, Ely winning comfortably 8:0 with goals from Ryan Jackson and Ryan Norton and two Ely hat tricks, one for Dunand and the other for Archie Salmon.

Cottenham were Ely's next opponents and Zachary Rush scored his first goal for the Ely club. Other scorers were Dunand and Norton both 2 each in a comfortable 5 - 1 win.

By the final game the Ely team were getting tired having played with only one substitute for the entire tournament. Against a well drilled and experienced Letchworth side they held their own in the first half finishing level at 3 - 3, thanks to goals from Dunand (1) and Norton (2). As the match wore on however Letchworth, with three substitutes, began to gain control scoring the only two goals of the half, Ely loosing 3 - 5.
