good wins for the under 15s blues

The Ely Blues under 15s playing in the Eastern Counties second Division played their recent tournament at Cambridge. The team with a mixture of experienced and inexperienced players have started to gel together which showed in the first match against Colchester. Colchester had beaten Ely at the first tournament but this time Ely were dominant and despite gifting the opposition an early goal four goals by Jake Kendall, three from Jordon Chambers and one from Steph Collier gave Ely an 8 -2 win.
 
In game 2 the good work and excellent defending continued with a hard fought 5 – 2 win against Letchworth, again a team who had beaten Ely at an earlier tournament.
 
In game 3 against Cottenham Ely let themselves be dominated from early on with Cottenham 3 – 0 up at half time. Ely continued to rotate their team to try and find an opening but a sole well taken goal by Steph Collier was all they had to show from an 10 – 1 loss.
